Fall Ball 2019 has started! Thank you for those who signed up. If you have any questions regarding Fall Ball, please email: ElSegundoGirlsSoftball@gmail.com
What is FALL BALL?
Fall Ball is a developmental program focusing on improving player fundamentals and team skills for the upcoming season. The season is approximately 10 weeks long with practices (1 to 2 times per week) starting in late August with games starting the first weekend after Labor Day. Teams in Divisions 8U and Up typically play a double header (2 games in succession) per weekend, either at home in El Segundo or away in nearby cities. Sundays are scheduled more often than Saturdays to help avoid conflicts with AYSO soccer games.
If your player will be moving up to a new division in the Spring, Fall Ball is a great way for them to get some experience playing in that new division which will have some new rules, a larger ball size, and a greater distance between the pitcher’s mound and home plate. If you have a pitcher or a catcher, Fall Ball is a great way for them to get more experience on the mound and behind the plate.
